Meet Our Oral Surgeon
Dr. Steven J. Butler, DDS retired from OMSA on December 2024 after over 36 years of service.
He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1984. Dr. Butler graduated as Valedictorian of his dental school class and received multiple awards for clinical and professional endeavors while there. He started his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Sinai Hospital of Detroit and joined The Oral Surgery Group in 1988. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Butler has served on the Dental Advisory Board of Physicians Health Plan. He has been an active member of the Isaac Knapp Dental Society and served on the Surgical Committees of several local hospitals.
He currently lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with his wife and Labrador retrievers. Dr. Butler has two adult children and enjoys time with his grandchildren. He enjoys restoring antique automobiles and boats, as well as continuing his musical endeavors.
