
Meet Our Oral Surgeon
Dr. Michael J. Stronczek, DDS, MS retired from OMSA in October of 2024 after over 32 years of service.
Dr. Stronczek joined Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in 1992. Born and raised in Fort Wayne, Dr. Stronczek graduated as Valedictorian from Bishop Luers High School in 1979. He attended the University of Notre Dame graduating with honors in 1983. Following graduation, Dr. Stronczek dedicated a year to missionary work with the Holy Cross Associates in Portland, Oregon. He taught second grade in an inner-city school and working with the indigent population in Portland.
Dr. Stronczek began his dental career in 1984 at Indiana University. Energized by the surgical side of dentistry, he was accepted to The Ohio State University Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program in 1988. While at Ohio State, Dr. Stronczek completed a Master’s Degree in Science and a research project on dental implants specifically placed in radiated bone.
Dr. Stronczek became a Diplomate of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) in 1994. He was inducted into the American and International Colleges of Dentists. Dr. Stronczek served on the AAOMS Committee of Anesthesia for eight years and received the ‘Committee Person of the Year’ award during his service as chairman of this committee. He served a two-year term as a board member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesia. Subsequently, he served on the Claims Committee for OMSNIC, the malpractice insurance company for oral surgery specialists, and began his tenure as a board member of this company in 2010. Dr. Stronczek is passionate about oral surgery and education and was the director of the Fort Study Club. Dr. Stronczek is also a member of the Kids First Craniofacial Team in Fort Wayne working directly with children born with oral and facial defects.
Outside of his oral surgery practice, Dr. Stronczek is a proud father of four and a devoted grandfather. He has been happily married to his wife, Kathi, for more than 30 years.
